We hope you found something to your liking in our five days of announcements, whether it be
the funny and mean Shouwa Saishuu Sensen doujinshi, the sweet and hardcore Ahitakara Ganbaru doujinshi, the violent hardcore Fatalpulse doujinshi, the full-color goodness of Triangle! doujinshi or the story-driven Mieow doujinshi . If you missed any our announcements, feel free to go back and check them our now. We guarantee you won’t regret it.
We’d like to use this post to wrap our week-of-blog-posts and to give out some miscellaneous info that doesn’t relate to any of our big announcements. Without further ado, in no particular order:
Muchakai news
Between November, when we released Muchakai’s Chizuru-chan Development Diary 2, and now we’ve been asked several times about when is third installment coming out. We’re pleased to confirm that the work on it has begun and that the release date is closing near.
On a related note, if you’re following us on twitter, you might have seen us tweeting about how Muchakai recently announced that the Chii-chan Development Diary is getting a live-action adaptation. You read that correctly: there’s going to be a AV based on Chii-chan’s doujinshi series!
While we were not involved in any way, we’re very happy for Muchakai to have their work acknowledged in this way. We’ll be sure to tweet any legal ways to obtain this AV, so keep an eye on that. And if you want to become familiar with the source material, keep in mind that the whole series is available on our site, uncensored in all its entirety.
Kabayakiya news
One of the circles we’ve introduced on our site last year was Kabayakiya. We’ve already released four doujins from them and the fifth one is on the way. This one is a bit unique as it’s based on a game that Unagi (the artist behind Kabayakiya) worked on. So in a way, it’s a semi-official doujinshi. We’ll write more about as the release date comes closer, but for now we’d like to leave you with this lovely cover page:
New Credit Card checkout page
This is not really news, as it’s been in place since early January, but we’ve updated our checkout process. The difference is mostly technical (and includes increased security), but the biggest visible improvement is the way you can now save and reuse your credit/debit card info with much less hassle. If you use your credit card once and tick the “save card info” checkbox, next time you want so use the same card, you’ll only have to put in you CVV number.
As before, no credit card information is actually stored on our server, so you can shop with ease.
“Offline” reader
And for the end, we’d like to introduce a side project that our web developer has been working on for some time now. Basically, it the same online reader that we normally use to display the doujinshi from your library, only expanded to work with local files from your computer. That’s right: hop on here and drop any zip, cbz, rar, cbr or pdf file into the page and read on. Nothing you drop is ever uploaded to our servers as everything is unpacked and displayed right there inside your browser. For that reason we nicknamed it our “offline reader”; once you load the page, you can kill your internet connection and it will keep chugging on.
If you’re in a situation where you don’t have access to a dedicated comic book reader application, this provides simple alternative that works wherever you have access to web browser. It even works on mobile.
As an added bonus, in addition to supporting all the image formats that modern browsers support (jpg, png, gif, svg and more), we added the support for displaying PSD documents, Tiff images and WebM video. Not a feature may people would need, but it comes in handy if you ever need to quickly preview an image or video in any of those formats.
Note that the app is still in development and we’re listening to any comments or suggestions you might have about it. So head on to https://2d-market.com/Reader/App and try it out.
